Mold making

Molds are the core of precision casting. Lianyi uses a silicon sol precision casting process with a strict procedure:

  • Mold Design Based on the product's 3D drawings, the mold is partitioned, and a detachable wax mold assembly structure is designed, reserving shrinkage allowance (approximately 2%).

  • Wax Injection Molding Low-temperature wax (melting point 70-80℃) is injected under high pressure, resulting in a smooth, bubble-free wax mold surface.

  • Mold Trimming and Tree Assembly Manual trimming of wax mold burrs. Multiple wax molds are welded to the gating system to improve batch efficiency.

  • Shell Making Process Six layers of silicon sol sand are alternately coated (fine sand for the surface layer, coarse sand for the back layer). Each layer is dried for 8-12 hours to form a high-strength ceramic shell.
